The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed Heads of Senior High Schools via the Regional and District Directors to mobilise their Management teams to make sure the protection and wellbeing of all students in schools.
This comes after the leadership of all the various unions inside the Pre-Tertiary Education Sector launched into a national strike in reaction to government’s failure to grant them a 20% cost of dwelling allowance amidst the modern excessive inflation fee, increases in price of goods and services, among others.
In a press statement, the GES noted that it has due to the fact that invited the leadership of the unions to a meeting to talk about the development and the manner ahead.

“Meanwhile, dad and mom are cautioned to remain calm and be assured that Management is carefully tracking the state of affairs and will endorse on the way ahead hence.”
It further indicated that Regional and Dsitrict Directors were directed to ensure that each one primary colleges continue to be open, and children who document to high school are intently supervised.
