Nigeria’s Information Minister has criticised a call via the leaders of one of the usa’s states that human beings have to absorb palms to protect themselves against militants, criminals and kidnappers.
At the cease of last month, the authorities in the north-eastern kingdom of Zamfara informed individuals to “acquire weapons to guard themselves in opposition to the bandits”.
The kingdom “government is prepared to facilitate people, specifically our farmers, to cozy basic guns for protecting themselves”, a statement stated.
But the federal authorities disagrees.
“Asking people to arm themselves is a recipe for anarchy,” Information Minister Lai Mohammed instructed BBC Focus on Africa radio.
